FRIENDSHIP CLUB
is a non-profit organization for men and women of the Greater Nashua area who have permanent physical disabilities. It is a place where friendships thrive, where the sharing of experiences whether over a bridge game or dinner provides opportunities for mutual support. It is open from 9:30 to 2:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Members enjoy a meal and each other’s company in a comfortable, family setting. Volunteers help serve meals and organize social activities. No fees are charged to members.
FRIENDSHIP CLUB TODAY
The Friendship Club has recently undergone much-needed, major renovations to the building. In addition to some upgraded electrical and plumbing, new flooring, bathrooms, kitchen and a sprinkler system have been installed. Fund raising efforts will help cover the day-to-day program and maintenance costs of keeping the Friendship Club open to the disabled members in our community. Please consider making a donation and becoming a Friend to the Friendship Club. We’d also be happy to share our Wish List of items and services still needed. Give us a call.

FRIENDSHIP CLUB HISTORY
The Friendship Club began when two Nashua women, Lovina Anders and Beatrice Labombard, invited handicapped members of the community into their home to provide them with an opportunity to socialize with one another. The Friendship Club building is located at 35 Orchard Avenue and was built and opened in 1954 with money raised initially by the Lions Club.
